Have You Run across these job scams.
The one the other day was unbelievable.
" For the next step in the employment process we need to have you send us a copy of your drivers license and passport"
This is before even any interviews or discussions.
The other one I keep hearing more and more is:
" To continue We need the last four digits of your Social Security Number plus your Birthday"
If someone knows where you were born they already have the first three digits of your social security number"
I think they have another crew collecting the first five digits
All of the people asking for this information have Indian Accents.
I know they have been doing this for years, advertising fake jobs and collecting resumes which they then use for leads to present their own people.
But it seems that lately they have branched out into more extensive ID Theft areas.
It seems that a significant percentage of these job ads are infested with this.
Has anybody else seen a lot of scams like this or similar and do you have any solutions or techniques to deal with this?
