I've recently grown my team organically so now I'm managing ~40 - 50 people with a few managers reporting to me (in a M2 position at a FAANG).
I find I'm struggling to find resources, books, and materials on pointers as a second-level manager (there's lots for first-line managers that really helped me when I was more junior).
For example - the role feels very different to the things I had to do when I could be more hands-on with ~10 - 20 people where my day was spent on more tactical activities; whereas I find myself a bit aimless at times and focused on coaching my managers to get results and being more reactive as a result (e.g. there's only so much time you can spend with your directs at a time).
I'm also trying to get good mentors internally, but wanted to know if anyone has recommendations or materials on how best to grow into this role.
Thanks
