Your understanding is correct. And this is the point that we can say it is bad for society.
The Constitution says "a limited time" and that time should be relatively short. I'm saying 25 years. Perhaps you can extend it for a large fee.
But currently the limit is 95 years longer than the average human life. While it is limited, it is unlimited as far as a person goes, and in my opinion goes against the spirit of the Constitution. Problem is, people with more money than me say otherwise.
