Developer Competition – How To?
2 points by Apex_Platform on Oct 12, 2019 | hide | past | favorite
Reddit wasn't able to give me a answer, so maybe you guys can. Looking to somehow setup a developer competition -- any tips on how to go about this? What I'd like to see is a panel of impartial judges, people enter, the judges send us all the same set of specs at the exact same time. We have 24 hours to submit our completed project using any language / framework / tools at our disposal -- no limits. May the best person win.

Any tips on how to go about this? I'm looking to showcase the abilities of Apex, and some links are below. Main site at: https://apex-platform.org/

This is solid software, and has taken 2.5 years out of my life, so not something I just threw together. I also did this blind, as life decided to play a funny joke on me three years ago.

Looking to showcase Apex and its abilities. Not going after the big boys like Laravel and Symphony as they're in a league of their own. However, most definitely going after folks like Wordpress, CodeIgnighter, and CackePHP.

I need to start getting some traction for Apex, and more than happy to do so via a developer competition to showcase its abilities. After meetings with multiple local design / development firms, I'm confident the market is crying out for a solution other than Wordpress. Everyone is still using WOrdpress, but nobody likes it, and Apex is in a prime position to become the modern day and professional replacement to Wordpress.

Any tips on how to get a developer competition going?
