I remember there are arguments that motherhood is seen as unpaid work. I wonder if there is a connection here with that. There seems to be a stronger shift in the past ten years or so where mothers are increasingly called out on being a "bad mother". Is there some relation there with the cultural attitudes on exploiting passion?
