Ask HN: What are your experiences of working with Open Banking platforms?

I'm working on a project that relies on users granting us access to their (UK) bank transaction history. There are many platforms that claim to solve this problem by providing a single API to access user bank data, mostly using the new Open Banking standard. E.g. Yapily, Tink, Salt Edge, LendingMetrics, TrueLayer, MoneyHub, Strands.

The ones we've tried so far have been very 'move fast and break stuff'-y: Often offline, incomplete documentation. We've also heard from other developers that they've experienced similar issues with the platforms they've tried.

Is it just the case that Open Banking is so new and support from banks themselves is so patchy that there are no perfect solutions? Or has anyone had actual positive experiences working with any of these companies?
