If you as a consumer think “Autopilot” means full autonomy, you are undereducated and/or misinformed. That’s not Tesla’s fault, and they don’t advertise Autopilot as such, either on their website or in the numerous warnings in the vehicle interface. I don’t agree it’s immoral to ship what they’re shipping calling it Autopilot.
I do agree much more work needs to go into how life critical systems are developed and deployed, but impressed at Tesla’s development velocity without sacrificing safety (as evidenced by so few deaths in Tesla vehicles overall).
