I am in the process of launching a website which is a forum / showcase for writers, filmmakers and other individuals to contribute their work to, as this is a new site i really need to know a couple of fundamentals:
Firstly, do I need to register the website name (i.e. trademark or similar) etc to protect the overall IP and check that it's not infringing on other sites?
Secondly, how can I protect any IP or reproduction rights for the authors of articles submitted to the website or if material is requested by third party media?
