Ask HN: Does anyone have strange behaviors with Google Keep reminders?

Like a lot of people, I switched from Google Inbox to Google Keep a few months ago. I heavily relied on the reminder feature of Inbox for my personal and professional life. It worked like a charm.

Google advertise Google Keep as being a fine replacement for Inbox's reminders.

This has not been my experience. Notes and reminders are often out of sync between browsers and devices, often requiring a full ctrl-F5 / restart of the app to properly sync.

Also, reminders keep popping at the wrong time. Yesterday night I set a bunch of reminders to pop at 8:00am today or 7:30pm. This morning a lot of them were configured to either 9:00am and 5:00pm instead.

Last but not least, I might try to put a square peg in a round hole, but it is a complete drag to clear completely a reminder after being done with it. It requires 4 clicks on Keep (Go to reminders, mark as done, go to Notes, archive), instead of one on Inbox (mark as done). This let me think Google Keep is not made for an Inbox-like workflow.

As I'm still mourning Inbox, I'm thinking of ditching Google productivities app altogether and switching to something else.

Has anyone a similar experience ? Am I doing something wrong ? Does anyone has a great alternative to reminders in the style of Inbox ?
