I was on the phone with a engineering recruiter from one of the tech giants, and they kind of indirectly belittled my work experience with a comment along the lines of "we consider back-end work to be more serious than front-end work" after asking what kind of salary I would expect and pointing to my mostly front-end experience as a reason to compensate me less.
What's your take on this? This recruiter's attitude aside, do you consider front-end experience "less serious"?
