To be fair, we could say programming itself also has identity crisis. Job posts don't look the same as they did 30 years ago. But in this case we accept it as part of the progress we've made. Frontend development is in the spotlight now, and it's in a far better position that it was a couple of years ago. Even for the same apps, I like them now compared to what they were a few years ago. It's a good time to be a web developer. Even better to be a web user.
