They are not. I’m using Beta and received a certificate warning so I contacted the webmaster. They claimed it must be my computer though I was descriptive of the issue and cause, they then said they would look into it as they hadn’t heard about it. I forwarded them the article and I guess we’ll see.



Maybe Mozilla is hoping to get some people to try Firefox when Chrome does not want to visit their favorite website.


The error message in Chrome is loud and clear that it's a problem with the site using Symantec certificates. I'm sure Firefox wants to make the sites more visible (with Chrome dropping Symantec first), so there is more push from users to the web site.


Even if it is clear, people will want to visit the site and if they don't find the button in Chrome or they don't want to bother with the nag screen (you can't "continue and remember" in Chrome)...


It’s not clear for non-technical users. The error message is something like Symantec Cert Error and you can click a more info link where there is another link to get detailed info.
