I don’t think that comment is unsubstantive.

It’s legitimately difficult to navigate this, especially given that the expectation is that gender is fluid, trans people in various stages of transition exist, and more emphasis is being placed on defaulting to generic or self-identified pronouns than assuming pronouns based on appearance.


The question is orthogonal to that of corporate boards; in other words, is off topic here.

It's also a classic flamewar topic. One-liners about flamewar topics don't end well.
