“Free to create”

What’s the catch? How do you get paid? I mean you, the provider of this service, not the people who are getting paid by using it.

I ask this as someone who could potentially be in your target audience.

Found on: https://workorder.io/pricing/

A $1.25 per transaction fee applies for orders in the Pay As You Go plan + Stripe fees. There are no transaction fees for users in the Pro plan other than the Stripe / PayPal gateway fees.

Thanks.

To create the site itself, it's free. This includes hosting the page and the app's management of the SSL certificate, should you decide to use a custom domain.

Thanks @rookie for mentioning the usage-based pricing (ie. the catch) at https://workorder.io/pricing.

Thanks.

What does that mean, decide to use a custom domain?

I would use my own custom domain, self hosted, so wouldn't I manage my own SSL certificate for that?

Or when you say custom domain, are you talking about a subdomain of workorder.io, like mybigbiz.workorder.io? Again I would not do that, I would do mybigbiz.com and host there... that is fine, right? I don't think you could manage my SSL certificate for that, but I could be wrong.

Sounds like you think I should understand what you're saying, it's just that the information seems contradictory.

Hi @natch,

You can point a custom domain to your Workorder.io site. Here is the guide on setting that up: https://workorder.io/guides/custom-domains/.

So basically, if you have the domain mybigbiz.com, you can set it up (in our app and at your DNS) and Workorder will: (1) Set up the SSL certificate with Let's Encrypt and (2) set up your Workorder site to be accessible at mybigbiz.com.

If you already have your own website, then you can set it up on a subdomain like shop.mybigbiz.com.

As a side note: It's planned that there will be an option to embed the Workorder form right into your website, but this release is not ready just yet.
