This site appears to hijack the ‘back’ functionality. I’m on an iPhone and when I swiped backward it wouldn’t let me leave. Had to go backward twice to escape.
There was an Australian highschool student who live-streamed her preparation for final exams last year. You never saw her face, just hands and heard her speak but she was encouraging her viewers to participate in the pomodoros.
I was doing post-grad at the time and enjoyed the comraderie even if she was 10 years my junior.
I can never quite tell whether to be impressed or depressed by the human capacity to conflate "this person is often on a screen near me" and "this person is my friend".
