And the cognitive dissonance of incessant anti-advertising threads sprinkled within HN's feed of interesting news articles, some of which will always be behind paywalls.

The issue was decided a long time ago. Paywalls with workarounds are ok. It's fine to post workarounds, as panarky did. All the rest is off topic.

The paywalls suck, of course. But HN without all those articles would suck much worse, so we live with the workarounds.
