For 4K@60 or 1440p@144, you would need a motherboard with 'Display Port' not just HDMI. That should eliminate quite a few.

Ah thanks for the check. I would still recommend getting a motherboard with Display Port(DP) to future proof the core components. I bought a gaming monitor 2 months back, and it came with only the DP cable. I see DP recommended by most game rig builders.


HDMI 2.0 does 4k@60.
