Is there some parallel universe in Silicon Valley I’m not aware of? I’ve worked at a number of different companies over a decade and I have never heard of anything remotely like a “sex party”...
I don't necessarily trust Elon Musk, but his account sure sounds a hell of a lot more plausible. Even the movement in Hollywood hasn't revealed an abusive dystopia of the levels described here.
If this is really true, I'd hope there would be at least a few accounts from people not trying to sell books.

Of course there is, you'll find the same in just about every city on earth. It didn't sound like it was connected to any company sanctioned events though, they came off as prudish people offended that such things exist, for example:

If people want to go to a strip club for lunch what business is it of hers? Then she follows up with:

This just shows how out of touch she is. It wasn't "normalized" in silicon valley, it was normalized everywhere a long time ago and she hasn't worked in environments where it's normal. I'd be shocked to find out that this is more normal in SV than it is in any blue collar areas.
