I know the simple answer is to focus on one thing, but life as you know can be complicated. I have marketing company that's growing every year. My cofounder just talked to a VC who wants to invest 30k into our eccomerce store we created to show our clients our new marketing company knows what it's doing as it's growing every month.
My cofounder thinks we should take the 30k and fast because it'll help us build our eccomerce store faster, the more successful it becomes the more successful our marketing company can be. My other cofounder and I think it can be a distraction the bigger it gets and this side project is getting out of control...yesterday our other cofounder created a powerpoint presentation talking about why taking the investment is amazing and how the ecommerce store we built from scratch (doing 1k a month in revenue) will grow so much faster if we take the money...we're at an impass...
