“How I Survived the Title IX Star Chamber” (quillette.com)

I'm a professor and this is spot-on. In fact, if anything, it understates the magnitude of the problem, as under these Title IX regulations, faculty are mandated to report any incident they become aware of, even if the incident occurred in the past, the possible victims involved are in no imminent or ongoing danger, and do not want the incident reported.

I've had colleagues at other universities subjected to a witch-hunt like this, and there too, all it took was someone with a grudge to make up some story. It does nothing but fuel political backstabbing and attention-seeking.

I am no Trump supporter, but this is one thing his administration has gotten right, and should be take even further. My biggest fear, in fact, is that the problems with Trump will only taint and derail necessary reform of Title IX regulations.
