My thinking, which is not new, is this: If we are being spied on, at least let us spy back. Also, most people would be more motivated to take care of their privacy if not only big brother but i.e. their real big brother can read their browsing; this is interesting for everybody since a controlled society is a worse one, best example: You don't have WhatsApp? You don't get invited by new groups who organize over WhatsApp. Post-privacy is the buzzword here.
Now there is a talk on youtube called "Build your own NSA" - tl;dr is:
> buy data from the industry
> mine all kinds of painful information on people from it
> depending on your motivation, make them cry or cry yourself or both
Now, I am sure if some startup would offer this, they would get shut down quickly; also with centralization there is the problem that the powerful can always motivate the company to not list them. With a DAO (decentralized autonomous organization) though this is not so easy.
tl;dr: make a DAO-NSA to force everyone to take privacy seriously or at least spy back on the fuckers.
