One could argue that we're nearly there already. There still are a few places where you can read semi-sane journalism, but for the most part the action is on the likes of Buzzfeed or Business Insider, which are an endless stream of clickbait, sensationalism, and poorly sourced rumor mongering, with the occasional fake news thrown in for good measure.
