I've flagged this article because the headline misrepresents the article's content. The manufacturing plant did not burst into flames. There was a small fire, away from the main production lines, in a waste disposal area. There's really nothing newsworthy here.


The PR spin is it might be minor however it was major from the pictures:

Clearly, you can see large plumes of smoke emanating from the factory.


If it was a small fire, it seems odd that 19 fire trucks were dispatched.


When I was in college, 2 fire trucks would be dispatched for some burnt toast (on an unfortunately regular basis).

I think it makes sense to be conservative when responding to a fire at a battery plant.
