We want the cheapest cell phone and nike shoes. We really don't care where it comes from. We just want our friends to know we are at the top of the status pyramid. We are animals at the end of the day, each trying to maximize our goals of survival and climbing the social hierarchy.

Replacing horses with cars, bulls with tractors and humans with robots. This just means a set of humans are amplifying their power to do more so they can gain more.
