Create advanced filters for your Gmail account (syphir.com)

Yay! It's exciting to see all these cool new Gmail plugins; first Rapportive, now Syphir.

Quick review: Rules are like Filters, but better. I do wish I could apply them to messages already in my inbox. (I added one to have anything that is to: cc: or bcc: to an alternative e-mail to be archived; in Gmail, you can only set filters based on the to: field.)

Being able to postpone job-related e-mail coming in after 5pm until 8am the next workday sounds intriguing... I like the idea, not sure about the implementation. (oauth IMAP login and parsing of your gmail inbox)

If they do it well enough, Google might acquire their technology (integrating it directly into GMail)

This does look really cool, and they appear to be doing it right (IMAP + OAuth), but I'd feel really weird about giving a third party access to my Gmail account and letting them futz around with messages. I'm sure they're very careful and all, but if there were ever a data loss bug -- especially one that wasn't immediately obvious -- I would be very, very unhappy.

Really love the iPhone app! Would be cool to see them connect your email to others apps as well.
