Do people really run updates daily? I can't believe he recommended that. We have 3 environments, 4 if its a big project to push changes. Dev, QA, Pre-prod, production. A patch is never pushed without testing on dev and QA. Not to mention, with things like this: http://www.securityfocus.com/news/11532 Would you want to patch every day?
