Did Facebook, Wikipedia, Wordpress, Etsy, Baidu, Box, and more
recently Slack all succeed in spite of using PHP? Would they
all have been better off expressing their application in Ruby?
Erlang? Haskell?
WhatsApp uses Erlang [0].
