For those of you using mixpanel to deliver notifications, has anyone noticed a much lower open rate over the last few weeks?
I originally noticed this toward the end of August - notifications with the same subject line were performing far worse than before. Then a few friends alerted me that they saw my company's notifications in their spam folders. I contacted mixpanel and their help desk confirmed they use a shared IP for all of their clients' notifications. Apparently, in the middle of August, they realized that people were signing-up and hammering the IP address with Spam (impacting everyone else sharing that IP).
They mentioned they've put measures in place to minimize spam and the IP is back to healthy. However, my metrics are still lower-than-normal.
I'm just wondering if other mixpanel users have noticed the same issue? Apparently this wasn't documented at all or alerted to the their customer base after it was discovered.
