Stopping in 'a winding canyon with no shoulder' seems like a colossally bad idea. Mind you, trusting the badly named autopilot in this situation seems like an even worse idea. Especially if you consider the recent death that EVER Tesla drive must know about at this point. To then overconfidently trust the AP in an already dangerous environment for a human drive seems crazy.



Right, as you say, the only worse thing than coming to a stop is saying "Screw it, might as well give it a try and keep going!".
