In the past I've used Trello, and still do for one commercial project I'm working on. However, I organise my own personal life and projects using a self hosted Kanboard (http://kanboard.net).
My wife has been in academia for most of her adult life, then we had a child, but now she wants to join the workforce.
I was thinking of teaching her kanban style project management, at least for her personal tasks to begin with.
I'm wondering which is going to provide a better return on an otherwise quite sparse CV - knowledge of the well known commercial Trello or a general kanban project management skill, learned through using Kanboard?
I'd personally prefer to stick with Kanboard, but fear Trello might spark more recruiter interest, because it's a well known name.
