Using predictive analytics to source better interns

We are working on using data from social networks to classify interns into red, blue and yellow based on reputation to help recruiters source better. As a recruiter/startup CEO, does that sound valuable?

We want to build the learning graph(http://jonbischke.com/2011/02/11/learning-graph-reputation-graph-massive-disruption-in-higher-ed/)and have been looking for an entry point and the intern-recruiting space looked like a great entry point. What would be some other ideas using big data in education?
