eFast browser hijacks file associations (malwarebytes.org)

Can't really call it a browser hijack if someone is downloading and installing an EXE file that replaces and pretends to be Chrome. That's just malware/badware. While the people that make these programs are absolute scum, a true browser hijack would mean this program somehow replaced Chrome through a JS exploit or installation of an extension. The article is not clear how it gets installed. Anyone know?
