Sounds like the DHT lookups could be quite slow, 20 queries to find the content is going to be a lot of latency.
Sounds like a better algorithm than binary search (which I assume is used) is needed.
Having said that I think the immutable data / DHT stuff is a good idea in theory and I hope something like this takes off!
