Hi HN,
When I first encountered HN, I was only interested in finding safe job and work there, no big ambitious no risks, no web dev experience, no "cool" projects, no cool projects, only C/C++ code, drivers and etc, I still consider myself young (hell I am 26 and I worrying I can loose myself if I don't make a step/risk now).
History:After surfing here for a while, finally decided to open an account. Surfed a lot, read a lot, excitement and so on. At some point I lost my interest in reading all of the front page stories.
What I got? Motivation to start my own, I am from developing country, no big investment rounds for IT companies (I don't even heard any of them except 1 in 10years, maybe enterprise IT companies do investment). But I searched a lot, surfed a lot, finally I found an idea which I want to start just now.
I am only worrying about investment, I will do most of the technical things by myself, but I will definitely visit silicon valley for an investment (probably I will something from my assets :) )
HN changed my mind from avg.young.joe.salarymen to young.aspiring.entrepreneur.mindset, probably after a while I am hoping to be an .entrepreneur.with.own.company.
Wish me good luck. After finishing I will visit most talked tech country called Silicon Valley :)
