When I started with my Linux Journey, distrowatch was the main resource to get info about distros. But to be honest, it's old and awful (I know it was made a lot of time ago).
For me, desktop environments were a fucking headache, I didn't know where to start and why were many of them.
So, I have a live demo currently DistroBase
The main page shows the top 100 distro on the last 30 days, and you can see distro details.
I came to get feedback about what is missing on distrowatch or what feats you would wish here, out there are many novices and this site should be the strongest.
Some of my ideas:
- Live demos of desktop environments to see the differences between them (vanilla).
