Is this not just a skinned version of Goose: https://block.github.io/goose/

they are all copies of each other. Did you expect them to build something completely new? Software Development is stuck in an AI hole where we only build AI features.

In the end this and all other 89372304 AI projects are just OpenAPI/Anthropic API wrappers, but at least one has 1st party support which maybe gives it a slight advantage?

If you put black tape over the light, it will not allow you to turn on the camera, however, I believe someone found a hack that said if you started recording and then put black tape over the recording, it would allow you to continue to record, but only for 3 minute increments.

Could you just replace the led with a uv led or a resistor?

If "just" requires ordering specific electronic components and soldering, it's not "just" for most people.

Also not the easy kind of 1990's LED soldering, like tiny surface mount soldering.

I suppose that really depends on how hard they’re trying to prevent you from doing that…

* They could measure the forward voltage of the LED when driven by a known current. Bonus points for measuring at multiple currents. Remember that the forward voltage depends on color.

* They could measure the reverse leakage current at a known voltage, and compare that to the illumination from the camera’s exposure feedback. Remember that every LED is also a photodiode.

* They could vary the LED driver current to heat it up, then measure that both of the above measurements are compatible with the higher temperature. Remember that most semiconductor properties have a strong temperature dependence.

So it would be pretty easy to detect most simple mods if they really wanted to.

You could replace the led with an IR led. That should have mostly the same electrical characteristics of an LED but emit no visible light

I wonder how that works. How would a LED know if it's covered by tape?

There's light sensor in the same module. The glasses compare light levels between that sensor and the camera, but only at the start of recording.

Actually, you can use any LED by itself as a light sensor as well as a light emitter.

Hello! I didnt see any AI engineer roles in the link you mentioned. Is there an email I can reach out to?

Hey! Do you have openings for new grad?

Longtime Spotify user here. I was part of the beta all the way back in 2013. I switched to Apple Music this year alongside an app that syncs the daily playlists with Apple Music.

I feel like as time goes on, the Apple Music playlist recommendations are getting better and better, but what kept me with Apple Music was actually the integrate with Sonos. I have the Arc, Sub and 2 Era 500s, and the spatial audio tracks are incredible. It reminds me of a time I used to just sit back and listen to music in my room as a kid, always discovering something new about a track that I never really hear.

The spatial audio is also keeping me with Apple Music, although I will say that while most are incredible, sometimes I'll come across an album where the spatial mix is laughably terrible.

Can you link the app that syncs those playlists?

Sonos hasn’t released the Era 500 speakers yet?

This could be potentially really dangerous. Most Okta customers who would use support would be IT admins. This is a pretty good list to start social engineering to get more information from other customers just by calling or emailing IT members impersonating corporate end users.

On average, the CS grads we hire are so much further along in their journey than a bootcamp dev, yet the starting salary asks are about the same. I know there are some organizations that are a bit more desperate for anyone who has the capacity to learn to code, but we also have been exclusively hiring CS grads with far better results.
