I mean, at some level, every single human is different, at another level we're all the same. I'm not sure what we're proving here.
The original claim was something about liberty and security and no one in this chain seems interested in bringing in any actual specifics about who thinks what where.
> You may enjoy more of this protection than you realize.
Americans are not safer then people in other comparable countries. They get shot more often.
In particular, they are much more likely to be shot by cops. And one of the hardest thing a layer can do is to prosecute a cop for it - they are simply untouchable unless stars align just right.
How is USA not realistic threat? They are already going out of their way to harm and weaken Canada. They are openly talking about expanding. They are already commiting war crimes in pacific and have fascist leadership. With president likely having alzeihmer or dementia or other mental healt issue
> Trump “is putting America first, and the same goes in cyberspace,” Cairncross said. But, he added, “we don’t want it to be America alone. We want that partnership.”
Nah. Trump is literally threatening Europe wanting to steal the land openly insulting EU. His men are frequently pointificating about how EU is not fascist enough and sponsoring right wing parties. They all seek to ally themselves with Russia.
And they already locked access to international court judges. EU knows America will yank access and knows America seeks to abuse and dominate it, rather then partnership.
Based on other articles, the plan is to release an episode a week. They are giving us 90ties experience, I guess. They just somehow managed to screw it up.
They did not released episode 1, which gives an authentic 90ties experience In 90ties people missed episodes. And misnamed the pilot movie as episode 1 and mislabeled other episodes.
And they dont use playlist and will be simultanepusly releasing clips from episodes, so it will be wonderfull mess.
If it’s like the rest of YouTube it’ll quickly be buried in a pile of reaction videos, fan edits, Russian voiceovers and low-resolution re-uploads, with black borders on all sides.
Oh please, the actual files have these people not just vaguely knowing Epstein, but asking him for help with dating, using him as advisor in dealing with sexual harassment issues in their schools (!), actually helping him to get further connections, connecting him to girls, praising him for intelligence in public and so on and so forth.
Epstein credit with them went up after he was convicted, not down. They were perfectly fine with who Epstein was and what he was doing.
Epstein thing did not went far enough at all. Instead, the actors are being protected, circling the wagons against each other.
I feel like I'm taking crazy pills when reading all of these "what is the big deal about being in the Epstein files" takes.
Like, there are people asking for Epstein's advice on how to fuck women that they have huge positions of authority and saying that she is "doomed" sleep with them. And these people haven't lost any material status yet! There are people asking Epstein for help suing feminists who sought to share stories of workplace sexual harassment. And there are tons of people who have publicly said "I was never friends with Epstein" all but making doe-eyes at him in their emails.
And suddenly we have a raft of "oh is it bad to have friends" and "don't all men want to fuck 16 year olds" articles coming from all corners. Insane.
Weird take considering Epstein was literal rightist, racist and sexist to the bone for whom feminisms was the biggest enemy. (I mean, of course, he was abuser and the woke idea that abuse is something wrong was the primary danger to him and his associates.)
Politically, both side are in the files, plenty of supposed centrists, but the hell more right wing and billionaires and soft right wing is on it more.
Ethnic Jewish supremacist as clearly evidenced by the email but very little reporting in the media. Complete racist also. I wonder if this was how he and his goons told themselves that it's okay to traffic the women from the former Soviet Union and other poor parts of the world, maybe they thought the girls were below them in every way possible.
Despite being more accessible to EU migrants, there is more to gaining Dutch citizenship than just "asking". One needs to live in the Netherlands for five years (with limits on i.e. long holidays) to qualify and even then it takes months just to take the tests necessary, provided they can speak the language at all, which isn't a given in certain expat circles. Plus, they'd need to give up on their birth nationality.
It's not an impossible challenge to overcome and compared to what 99% of the world's population needs to go through for the same privilege it's a piece of cake for the author to get done, but it's not just a matter of paperwork.
