Cant be bothered seems more likely than can't figure something out. LaTeX has a huge stack exchange community and templates out the wazoo. No reason to think they can't accomplish everything they need, in a realistic context. LaTeX isn't for one time use, it's an investment that returns massively.
This is the UX design bible. Like most holy books, it's gone unread, and UX designers will fall back on simpler things, like design kits and ignoring the user
This seems pointless. You can have a modern UI for neovim, they literally have a section on their github page showing you the alternatives. Pick Rust, not electron, and you won't have to do any funky config stuff.
