If you plant something and nothing is eating it, it is not part of the ecosystemand might as wellbe made of platic. I plant native flowers and it is so gratifying seeing the abundance of life thriving on even the smallest plant. I also plant edible foods because I need to eat as well!
I don't know the opinions of this particular speaker but my feelings towards the actions of the Israeli government make me opposed to any business relationship with that country until they end their genocide against Gaza.
It's one in a million, billion, people that have "a network of rich colleagues and friends" ready to throw money down on a fringe style of business development. So, it's a nice thought, but wildly unlikely. Hence the entire one comment here that says it all.
You can build houses in Florida. Arizona, New Mexico, Texas,
and Nevada, but those places will increasingly become unlivable due to climate change. Texas has shown several times now that it doesn't have much of an emergency response plan to extreme climate events and a mismanaged energy grid. People can move there but they won't be able to stay. I think it's useful to see how lack of affordable housing is a major crisis. How do we address it while also maintaining high regulatory standards for new construction?
Something to keep in mind is that the courts are not necessarily trying to determine the truth, but rather create a place to allow two parties that represent different interests duke it out. Not always what the courts are used for, but it's a different mentality than science or programming.
