That's also nice, but the memory speed is also higher, Ddr5-7266 vs 5600 iirc. The resulting higher bandwidth translates more or less directly into more performance for the iGPU.

having this as a backup sounds nice to be honest. getting a sim card in the traveled to country was sometimes a bit of a hassle in the past... nowadays probably not so much. anyways, this might provide the time to get a sim card locally, as those often times used to be a lot cheaper, than some travel sim... and also might provide different coverage provider / network wise, depending which network they roam on...

mhm, at least for older phones there is stuff like: https://esim.me/

no clue if it works to set the card up in a phone and then use it in a board?!

yes, i am always suprised that such a tool does not exist everywhere (at least the modern western world...). not every shop is in there and rarely I buy from elsewhere... but even just checking specs of any kind of "hardware" (geizhals has also home appliances, ...), or seeing what is available with certain specs, geizhals is a godsend.

and it mostly still has that "old-web"-style :-)

Not sure if the Mainboard Chipsets initially released with the Pentium iv supported the later released core2 quads... Which is actually the case for the am4, where even the cheapest, oldest Chipset (a320) can support the newest am4 CPU, as long as the MB maker provides a bios update.

Sure, but the technological leaps from Pentium 4 to Core 2 Duo and then to Quad that Intel made in those days over 15 years ago, were massive enough to justify the limitation of the same chipset from the Pentium 4 era not supporting the later multi-core Core CPUs, compared to the Ryzen 2-3-4 jumps that AMD made in a similar timeframe which aren't as radically different to each other.

Adding to this: search for haimgel/Display-Switch[1] on GitHub, which can switch monitor inputs using DDC commands on USB connect/disconnect events. Poor man's KVM :-)

Hmm, not sure on GitHub actions, but wouldn't a local ci runner solve this? A small sff/Atom PC for approx 100$ with the hardware key attached...

So all that would change is where the signing part happens, either in the cloud or on your local runner...

Not sure which way to lean if this is an improvement or not security wise :-)

The time is now, you just are not allowed to convert most agricultural into solar farms...

Ah, yes. Land usage classifications. I never heard of a farmer sellong land, not even a square meter, to anyone. As farmland that is, the second it is reclassified as housing the same farmers part with the land without hesitation!

In Iowa, usually farmers rent the land to wind turbine companies for X amount of years. Some do sell, but that's usually just on the edge of their farming areas.

The AMD edition of the framework 13 is about to start shipping, with payment to be made in 3 days. Time to get the 96GB of RAM... :-)

I use exquilla[1] for some years now. It is paid though and costs 10€/year. Furthermore it is only mails...

Why does this website look almost identical to the Owl website below?

edit: Same pricing, same exact signup form and "Domain Licenses" page, etc. but way worse design. I'm guessing this is a knock-off of Owl? Or worse?

Same company owns both. IIRC, exquilla came first.
