Apple's ARM chips have been incredibly effecient for a while now.

My m3 air draws around 3W on avarage and that's with a 14 inch screen running at around 40% brightness.. impressive stuff. Passive cooling too!

M3 airs come in 14” or did you mean m3 pro?

To best of my knowledge, airs come in 13” and 15”.

Great news. The pro is kinda of heavy for my liking so the Air is the way to go

I think spec-wise the Air is good enough for almost everyone who isn't doing video production or running local LLMs, I just wish it had the much nicer screen that the Pro has. But I suppose they have to segregate the product lines somehow.

It's not just the weight - Air is also fanless (and still runs cold).

And yes, with enough RAM, it is a surprisingly good dev laptop.

Really too bad you cannot upgrade to 32GB RAM though =(

Is the Firefox one better than the one Edge has? I've been using that for a while and it seems quite good overall.

It's not end-to-end encrypted (if you enable account sync), so Microsoft can technically see your passwords. Feel free to switch or not switch based on that information.

Firefox isn't end-to-end encrypted either anymore, IIRC.

I stand corrected! https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/reset-your-firefox-acco...

> Mozilla accounts uses your password to encrypt your data (such as bookmarks and passwords) for extra security. When you forget your password and have to reset it, this data could be erased. To prevent this from happening, generate your unique account recovery key before forgetting or resetting your password.

It still is, as is all Firefox Account data

Good.

I believe it's simply a unit of measurement we use to understand the movement or rhythm on which the universe operates, so it could be termed the "progress of computation" if that makes more sense but it's all in the same effort.

What does "full scale invasion" mean exactly?

It means the invasion essentially started in 2014 with the invasions of Crimea and the Donbas. The full-scale invasion in 2022 was basically an expansion/solidification of that effort.

it's an acknowledgment of previous (pre-2022) invasions of Ukraine territory

Brilliant now we need an automated daily playlist based on all that
