There was a cartoon floating around a few weeks ago wherein the sender of an email used an AI to pad out his 3 points into flowing paragraphs, whereupon the receiver used her AI to summarise it ... down to 3 points.

The value add in that scenario is nearly infinite.

Was it this one? https://marketoonist.com/2023/03/ai-written-ai-read.html

I know that it talks about only 1 and not 3 points, but it seems close enoguh

"Elbows up" isn't rude, so is suitable for fora, and for one country whose sovereignty has been directly threatened by the country where Microsoft is based, captures that attitude perfectly.

I ditched MS office last year (for libreoffice) when MS updated their terms to allow them to hoover up all my content, even that stored only on my computer, to train their AI. Subscription costs (which I'd bought a version several years ago) pale by comparison to the wrongness of that.

Nothing new here. For years Mac updates would turn and leave on bluetooth, and ios updates routinely turn game centre on, and less so recently imessage and facetime. I don't know if its malice or sloppiness, but it is tiresome.

I've turned game centre off at least 20 times over the years without ever once turning it on.

> updates would turn and leave on bluetooth

Thank you. I didn't know the reason. Too bad they are not able to get "Mobile hotspot" right.

Stopped paying for Slack, still use the free version. Had free integrations, don't use any more.

The WTF of Huddles and threads, and the complete lack of working notifications mean we can't trust integrations or complicated features to work or stay working.

Absolutely agree. We don't pay for slack as well. This pile of sh*t sucks. How can they not have proper notifications? Slack is not a working mode of communication and I really hope we get something better asap.
