Also, working Linux software to pair new devices with unifying receivers is great to have.

Most Logitech devices have settings for particular parameters that are not covered by generic drivers. E.g on my MX Master, I can set what events the buttons (it has 6) will generate. My K810 has borked function keys (they trigger special events instead of just being good old F1). You can switch these back to standard function using software. Edit: typos

That is a very good approach imo. It takes into account a very basic truth: As an engineer or scientist, you really do not know how to explain technical stuff to a judge with whom you have very few common professional points of reference. It is the patent attorney's job to translate engineering lingo into something a brain subjected to years of legalese can comprehend or at least handle sufficiently well to make a reasonable decision.

That one year grace period is specific to the US and does not apply in most other countries. So by publishing your invention before filing a patent application you create prior art that will stand in your way in most of the world.

Their statement is plain ridiculous scare tactics. A trademark registration is not a monopoly on any and all use of that combination of letters.

If you are in Switzerland, you might have a right to use the domain because you registered it before the trademark was registered. Ask a trademark attorney about application of Art. 14 of the Swiss Trademark Code.

Plus, they may have no right to enforce anything at all if you do not use the domain for their registered goods/services. Again, ask a trademark attorney.

Love the comment on ther GitHub relating to "make benchmark":

"If the build is successful, you will see "CORRECT" numbers and a performance summary at the end. The "vgr" line effectively shows you approximately how much faster your machine is to a VAX 11/780."

Those requests would neither have been possible nor come in by such numbers if Germans were not privacy-aware.

your house on the street is public landscape. privacy does not apply on what you see from the road.

without streetview or photos on a public website, only people who are actually passing by my house can see it.

otherwise it is visible to the whole world. that is a drastic difference for a privacy conscious person.

or consider for example me posting a picture of my house without giving any address. there is nothing identifying except the building. with streetview you could potentially find my address. why should you be able to do that?

sure, streetview is nice to use, but i think privacy concerns are real.

> your house on the street is public landscape. privacy does not apply on what you see from the road.

It would be difficult (impossible) for 8 billion people to come over to my street and stare at my house, in the physical world.

So it's very different to expose the view on the internet to all those 8 billion.

Yes, but it has a configurable delay to engage, so accidentially hitting the power key instead of DEL will not turn off your computer unless you changed the config and then it's really your own fault.

Did you really never go somewhere on a rented bus when you were in school? You can rent a bus with driver eg. for the company picnic or other touristic activities.

However, I fail to see how that business, which usually involves a time constraint and direct point-to-point travels, would be impacted by this kind of ticket.

Not really, we always used the city busses. I know that business exists, but I don’t know any private bus business that’d be affected by this ticket (except, as mentioned, FlixBus)
