Been using .guru for 10 years. No problems.

Reminds me of this book: Dogs that Know When their Owners are Coming Home https://www.sheldrake.org/books-by-rupert-sheldrake/dogs-tha...

You may want to improve the ui/ux for getting to your chat. It’s very hard to find on your homepage even when looking for it.

Exactly. I figure they put the mouse charging on the bottom on purpose so that people would not just leave it plugged in. I end up charging my mouse about once every few months so it’s not an issue.

If I want to use it plugged in, that's my own damn business.

Wah, that is crazy. What is so special about this mouse that it needs so little power? Why isn't this reported more widely!? Other wireless mice that I have used need regular recharging or new disposable batteries. Always a sub-par experience.

This isn't special. My Logitech MX lasts a couple of months on a single charge.

Yeah that’s why the port’s on the bottom. To force a change in habit learned from subpar hardware. The thing charges enough to last a whole day in like a minute or two.

This kind of investigative journalism is why I subscribe to the New York Times.

Our Values:

Be Human

Show up as you are. Bring your complexity and simplicity, your shadow side and light. Be as true to your struggle as your success. Be vulnerable as you are strong. We celebrate what makes us human - the magic and the mess - because one doesn’t exist without the other.

Kindness

Be kind. Be so kind. To one another and especially to yourself. It’s what a compassionate world feels like.

Openness

Be curious. Be fearless and fun in your curiosity. Be open to new ideas, new experiences, new people. Remain open to the good and the bad, stay with it all.

Truth

Don’t shirk hard stuff. We are real and won’t bullshit you. The reward is great, but the struggle is real. No hashtag.

I don’t know much about Sam Altman, but the OP listed a bunch of external signals which are just that.

My guess is the Sam has a solid combination of vision, determination, intelligence, realism and connections. Strong determination with all those other positive supports can take you a long way.

Sam also got the timing right: doubling down on AI just as the technology was ripe for it to flourish.

Potentially, HyperText provides a single user-interface to many large classes of stored information such as reports, notes, data-bases, computer documentation and on-line systems help.

Insightful understatement of the century.

Why is quitting or finding another job NOT any option?

Can you put effort into questioning that baseline assumption?
