Everything but lifespan I think. So Expected Value of life remains flat over time.

I think I’d pick a shorter high-quality life over a longer low-quality one given the choice.

uff that's a brave opinion in most circles

Wow great article

How did you measure the 60% improvement rate?

Ran a 4-way comparison test across 200 query-memory pairs:

- Baseline RAG (embedding similarity only): 10%

- RAG + reranker: 20%

- Outcomes only (no reranker): 60%

- RAG + outcome scoring (mature memories with 20+ uses): 60%

"Accuracy" = correct memory ranked #1 for the query. The outcome scoring uses Wilson score lower bound - memories that consistently get positive feedback from the "user" get boosted, ones that fail get demoted.

Why do they make “eye contact” after every hand off? Feels oddly forced.

Perhaps they're exchanging knowing looks on how stupid they think the demo is. Solidarity between artificial brothers.

If you're training robots to interact with humans this is the kind of behavior you'd want. Humans use a ton of nonverbal hints like this to register context.

This along with the writing style in the description is totally forced anthropomorphizing. It’s creepy.

Gotta hype up the investors somehow

I don't know what my PM would say but to me this is "excellent and appealing design"

Amazing story the climax to me felt like the moment just before …Go! in the cages. Congrats!

I'd argue they care about performance, but they also care about a whole slew of other things that also require prioritization to maintain the game and its cottage industry. Not a huge fan of the constant dogging on mojang everyone loves to engage in...

People seem to forget that if you already know where the finish line is, the journey on getting there can be made quicker and more efficient.

This, at least in my experience, applies greatly to software and hardware.

Are you sharding the main thread into regions (ie. Like paper folia) or is this just breaking of non block-entities to their own threads.

With respect to social normality sure. But I feel like the primary focus here is moderate/low risk with respect to health which isn’t dictated by culture

You could just proxy it through something like myus.com or the like
