Think they could be testing us, for how much progress we can do.
Especially since its scale seems to be quite big, most likely at least a few hundreds of applications got that.
I simplified it for the sake of this example but image an all encompassing system that doesnt necessarily ONLY bring things that you know to find but something which brings information which it knows you'd like to have.
Say you are talking about the recent tariffs with a friend and the system bring in something like 'Trump has temporarily reduced tariffs to 10% for all other countries except China recently'. This is an example of news but it could just be some random fact which is helpful in our discussion. (you can imagine a similar example for when you are sitting in a lecture and the discourse is one way)
Say you want to reply to an email, it'll write the email for you with a couple words of context (since it already has access to the past convo in the thread.)
Similarly it'll work for all things you want to author.
