I wanted something simple that I could push to server to host static sites in order to share them, with colleagues, clients, family.
I use Netlify for my more complex projects, where I need to point a DNS and do more complex backend stuff etc.
I use quickdrop for all the fast simple stuff, like a mockup web page for a new feature, with a client vlaue proposition, or a static landing page for beta-signups, that sort of thing.
I especially use it to share proposals with clients, so that I can track if the viewed it, and if they share it around and so on.
