I agree with the premise and have taken a deeper dive (https://github.com/osmyn/Practices/blob/master/UnitTestGuide...) if anyone is interested in learning more about creating tests that aren't brittle. I did this after suffering through poorly written tests that made our team afraid of any refactoring.

Great advice on minimizing distractions: You may be thinking ‘I can't just delete my browser or delete my PC.’ But you can delete your browser, or delete your PC, or move to a country where there are no PCs. If you want to get things done, you have to be willing to make sacrifices.

Haha! Only real ones understand.

This has echoes of his Disconnecting Distraction piece!

It's doing the same thing for me. I asked on my Phone.

I just tried on Android and got the same weird reply.

Malware bytes blocked that site for me; reportedly due to a trojan

The site a well-known (for some definition of the term) collection of very old files, so it’s probably an ancient signature for a DOS boot virus or something similar. I’d be very disturbed if there really was something worth worrying about there.

I've been working on a side project to help teams focus - https://www.indiehackers.com/product/our-time-to-think - It's surprisingly hard to find people who actually want to not be distracted.

https://ourtimetothink.com/ tames my slack notifications

Here's a neat use of OBS by Scott Hanselman for PowerPoint presentations: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ciNcxi2bPwM

I really like to brainstorm by putting sticky notes on a wall (my process https://www.pluralsight.com/courses/agile-requirements-proce...), but https://app.storiesonboard.com/ is where I manage it after that.

This is a big reason behind why I created https://ourtimetothink.com - a tool for teams on Slack to manage their DND status for scheduled blocks of time each day so they can get some deep work done
