is there any reason not to use SMS/MMS gateways (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SMS_gateway) for your hobby projects?

Messages have serious delays (sometimes minutes, sometimes hours) through SMS gateways. There's also rate limiting. That limits their usefulness.

> But now I get to control way more myself

is this a good thing? to some extent sure but I feel like limitations and collaboration leads to better art in many instances

If you don't recognize the YouTube ID by now... :)

I wasn’t gonna bother doing that. You made me do it…

What is it?

We're no strangers to it. You know the rules, and so do I; these jokers make a full commitment and make you think about it for so long. You wouldn't get this from any other pull request.

EV's are only quieter inside of the car, at speed they're just as loud as ICE cars, sometimes louder. [0]

If we're going to reduce car noise, the only option is to make them go slower and move them away from residential areas.

They're clearly not. Source: my ears listening to EVs vs ICE cars going by me on the road. At high speeds and/or on wet roads, tire noise can dominate, but in the city there's far more noise from engine/exhaust.

https://deta.sh is another serverless option but I do worry about their path to profitability.

DDG email protection isn't locked to a single browser, I've been using it on Chrome/ium and Firefox for around a year now.

I meant on mobile, you can't use it without using DDG browser.

Same, it is not available on Safari though.

It seems to be because HN is forcing HTTPS, it works when using HTTP.

Try this: http://reactos.aaron.cc/

Doesn't work for me either

HTTP seems to work for me.

Here's the screenshot of the full page: https://i.imgur.com/sqTTF7X.png

Now it's working for me too, must've been the good old HOD. Thank you anyway, much appreciated

That http link worked for me. Thank you.

Perhaps it was served?

But not for me.
