LoRaWAN and MIOTY are LPWAN technologies, i.e., they have the particularity of sending small amounts of data with long range and low power energy consumption. In this research, we investigate the two LPWANs, LoRaWAN and MIOTY in order to compare their efficiency in industrial environments. The purpose of this benchmarking is to distinguish which is better for the Industrial Internet of Things IIoT according to a defined scope and metrics.
